Wild Expanse – Featuring the artworks of Sean Bonito

The artwork of Sean Bonito will be featured in the exhibit, “Wild Expanse” at ARTHOUSE Gallery, 1021 R. Street in Sacramento, From February 6 – March 4, 2020. The opening reception is Saturday, February 9, 2020 from 6:00 to 9:00. The medium of this work in this show will be graphite on paper. The subjects are animals both wild and domesticated. The animal images were all photographed by the artist for use as reference material. In these drawings, Sean explores the use of negative space. He isolates the animal by the using a minimal background which provides a stark contrast to the detailed object.

Sean Bonito is an award-winning graphite pencil artist specializing in depicting animals in isolated surroundings. Allowing a strong focus on the animal alone. He also creates works portraying humans in unique situations.  Sean has a art degree from UC Davis and works out of his studio in Auburn, CA, Embellishments Artist Studio.

In addition to the exhibit, the ARTHOUSE on R’s resident artists will open their studios for Second Saturday, March 9, 2020, on the historical R Street Corridor.
