Encaustic demonstration and talk at 6:30 pm.
From first century Roman era when beeswax was used to seal and decorate
war ships, to contemporary art, the application of encaustic medium has
traveled centuries to become the luminous addiction of many artists today.
This show will provide a glimmer of encaustic’s wide range of
aesthetics and media combinations created by members of
Sierra Wax Artists, a Northern California encaustic art group.
