Sean Bonito

Oh No What Did I Do

Sean Bonito is a graphite pencil artist with a strong interest in depicting animals in isolated surroundings, allowing a strong focus on the animal alone. He also produces works portraying humans in unique situations.

Sean was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has always had a strong interest in drawing. Sean was educated at Diablo Valley College and the University of California at Davis. He graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Studio in December of 2000.

Currently, Sean lives in the Sierra Foothills outside of Sacramento, CA. He enjoys working with animals and had the opportunity to work in a local wildlife animal refuge. Many of his drawings are the result of this experience. He also has an interest in drawing the human form and he participates in figure drawing sessions working digital to render unique compositions. Sean has completed commissioned drawings of individuals in inspiring situations.

Sean has been twice selected for The Richeson75 International, Animals, Birds, & Wildlife for 2020 and 2021. He placed in both the Finalist and Meritorious Entries categories. His work can be viewed in the Richeson School of Art & Gallery Publications for 2020 and 2021 – Animals, Birds & Wildlife.

In the past, Sean took part in the KVIE Art Auction raising money for Public Broadcasting. He won both an Honorable Mention and a First Place in the Drawing category. Sean’s work was chosen for “The Crow Show”  at Sparrow Galley in Sacramento, CA. He has participated in Sacramento Fine Arts competitions.  His work is in a number of private collections in Northern California and Bend, Oregon. Sean’s work was shown at Embellishments Artist Studio, in Auburn CA. He has also completed automobile computer renderings.
